The January–June Saks credit closes June 30 — the last date to use it before the benefit ends. Amex has not announced a replacement benefit.
Centurion Lounge guest policy — tightens July 8
Guests must travel on the same flight as the cardholder; layovers are capped at 5 hours. Amex has not announced replacement benefits to offset the restriction. Confirm the updated rules in the Amex app before trips with companions. 12
Resy credit restriction — effective August 1
Starting August 1, only US restaurants flagged as "eligible" on the Resy website or app at time of purchase will qualify for the Resy credit (up to $400/year for Platinum). Currently, nearly all Resy restaurants qualify. OMAAT called it: "This could be a major devaluation, or it could have limited implications… we'll find out soon." 13
What to do today
- Carnival — expires tomorrow. This is the only action with a same-day deadline. If a Carnival cruise is anywhere on your planning horizon, open the Amex app, find the Carnival offer, tap Add to Card, and book at least a deposit by June 16. Once the clock hits midnight tonight, it's gone. 4
- Sonesta — 5 days. $60 back on a $300+ stay is a 20% return. Book direct by June 20. 5
- U.S. Open attendees. Practice rounds started today — if you're heading to Shinnecock Hills, verify on-site payment methods before you go. The Amex offer (KC93:0001) is still enrollable; add it now in case Amex is accepted, but don't assume it will be. 1
- Saks — 15 days, last chance ever. The January–June $50 credit window closes June 30, and the benefit doesn't renew in July. Use it if you haven't.
